General qualifications for all VCS instructor positions include: 

  • Degree (B.A./B.S.) in field of instruction is required
  • Master's degree in field of instruction is preferred
  • 1-3 years of successful teaching experience is preferred

  • Experience with Moodle, PowerSchool, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, Pages, Keynote, iBooks, iBook Author, iMovie, Nearpod, Educreations, Notability, Dropbox, Glo Bible, and Kno Textbooks
  • Model Teacher
  • Holds or is in the process of earning an Association of Christian Schools International Teacher Credential or a California Teaching Credential

Alumni and Parent Relations Coordinator

Main Purpose of the Position:  

The Alumni and Parent Relations Coordinator is responsible for the development, planning, and implementation of programs and projects that strategically engage alumni in strengthening Valley Christian Schools. Serving as an ambassador, the Coordinator will maintain positive relationships with VCS alumni to cultivate and advance financial support by securing annual gifts. The Coordinator reports to the Vice President of Development and is an integral part of the Extend the Gift Development team. The Coordinator is responsible for implementing the goals and objectives of the Extend the Gift annual giving program within the Alumni community.

  • Serve as a Christian role model and a consecrated Christian, dedicated to the purpose and goals of the Christian school.
  • Have an understanding of philosophy and objectives of Valley Christian Schools.

Associate Director of Annual Giving

Main Purpose of the Position:  

Valley Christian Schools seeks an individual with experience in educational fundraising to fill the position of Associate Director of Annual Gifts in the Extend the Gift Development Office. The primary responsibilities of this position consist of coordinating messaging and direct communication for the solicitation of the parent body, increasing participation in annual giving to the Warrior Fund. A key element of this position is the ability to clearly articulate the mission and purpose of Valley Christian Schools, the mission of the Extend the Gift Development Office and the need for funding. This position reports to the Vice President of Development and works closely with development team members in alumni relations, campaigns, marketing and communications, planned giving, and special events. 

The individual must have excellent communications skills, be extremely organized, and able to work in the fast-paced environment of an independent K-12 school. This individual should have some experience in fundraising, including direct solicitation, preferably in an educational or membership institution, or a cultural organization.
