In addition to providing award-winning academics, arts, and athletics programs, Valley Christian High School offers students the opportunity to demonstrate God’s love through the program, “Warriors Advancing the Lord’s Kingdom” (WALK). This program encourages students to serve, inspire, and motivate others, both locally and abroad. Through action and love, students seek to advance the Lord’s Kingdom with the redemptive power of the Gospel to transform our communities and the world.

“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one an
other. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another, (John 13:34-35).”

Jesus lived His life in service to those in need, and it is our desire that our school community and individual students would follow this example. Our mission is to connect our students with service opportunities outside our immediate VCS community in order to foster a lifestyle of service and a heart of compassion and love. Through the transformative relationships that inevitably develop, students learn to serve, inspire, and motivate others as well. At VCHS we learn to reflect the tangible love of Christ through outreach classes, service clubs, and community service requirements.

WALK encourages students to take classroom biblical instruction and apply it in the local community. Through action, students use their time, talent, and treasure to embody the Christian spirit in on-campus and Bay Area-focused service projects. These investments lay the foundation for students to live lives of character, service, and influence.

The WALK program helps students move beyond the classroom and the local community by offering an immersive cultural experience. Students show the love of Jesus Christ by meeting the needs of hurting people and sharing with them the redemptive power of the Gospel.

Through the WALK program, VCHS students transform their own lives, our community, and the world. As different challenges and situations arise, students experience personal victories, spiritual transformation, and softened hearts, not only within the people they help, but also in their own lives. This local and global perspective allows students to use their unique, God-given abilities and talents beyond the classroom to be the hands and feet of Christ as they seek to advance the Lord’s Kingdom.
